Jakarta-1st April 2007- Regusa Ais Cream

After Gavin's birthday lunch, we went to a ice-cream shop that very famous in Jakarta. Recommended by a friend, his name call Han Han (same with Han Sandies). It has established in year 1932. They sell homemade Italian ice-cream.

The shop looks old but very good business. Photos of the old shop were displayed on the wall. It looks like the photos that we seen in history book. The shop no air-conditioner, felt warm before put the ice-cream into my mouth. I guess they purposely do it, so that we will eat more, to cold down our body.

Pillow (white shirt) and Han Han (black shirt) was ordering ice cream. The guy playing guitar can sing very well. I suggested him to join Indonesia Idol (ha ha). He sing 3 oldies and a birthday song for us. We gave him 15000rupiah (~RM6), Han Han said it is a good price. Cheap leh!



Many customer standing in the shop and wait for their turn to get a seat.



One scope ice-cream serve in a steel goblet, cost 10,000 to 13,000 rupiah (~RM4 to 5.20). The white colour at the bottom one is ice-cream spaghetti. Only the look like spaghetti, this one taste vanilla.

For me, the taste of the ice-cream is so so but very smooth and not too sweet, can eat a lot. Hmmm! The shop just like old kopi tiam in Malaysia but sell ice-cream.
